Certification, Licensing, and Special Requirements

Certification or Licensing

The Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) offers the distinguished real estate instructor (DREI) certification to those who meet education and experience requirements, complete training, successfully pass an examination, and submit a continuous, unedited 50–60-minute video of a live classroom presentation with students visible for review. This designation is awarded to individuals who have proven knowledge of their industry and excellent teaching experience in a classroom setting. The DREI certification must be renewed every three years. Contact the REEA for more information on this particular certification as well as other links to industry certification opportunities as accredited by the National Association of Realtors. No licensing is available for real estate educators.
