Working conditions vary according to the type of class being taught, the location, and the number of students participating. Courses are usually taught in a classroom setting but may also be in a work setting, conference room, or online. Those teaching at conferences or training real estate professionals at their offices often travel to the conference or work site. Class sizes vary, ranging from one-on-one instruction to large lectures attended by many individuals.
High school and college real estate teachers only work nine or 10 months a year, with summers off. Part-time teachers work 20 hours or less, depending on how many classes they teach. Some real estate teachers, especially those employed in nonacademic settings, primarily work in the evenings or on weekends, though many corporate trainers will work during regular office hours.
