Automobile Collision Repairers

Unions and Associations

While union membership is not a requirement for collision repairers, many belong to the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers; the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America; the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers; or the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Most collision repairers who are union members work for large automobile dealers, trucking companies, and bus lines.
