Most flight attendants are members of the Association of Flight Attendants, the Transport Workers Union of America, Association of Professional Flight Attendants, or the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Airlines for America is the trade organization of the principal U.S. airlines. The Federal Aviation Administration is a government agency that regulates aviation in the United States. It provides certification to flight attendants.
