Parking Attendants

Education and Training Requirements

High School

A high school diploma is usually the minimum requirement for parking attendants. A well-rounded education provides a good foundation for this profession. Take classes in math, science, history, and computer science. English classes will help hone communication skills needed for customer service work. Take driving classes and any technical or shop classes that cover working on cars or related topics.

Postsecondary Education

There are no specific education requirements for parking attendants. Those who wish to advance to management positions usually must have a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or other related areas. Coursework for this includes communications, science, social studies, math, as well as business and financial management, accounting, business statistics, microeconomics, among other topics.
