Unions and Associations
City managers are not represented by unions. The major professional organization for city managers is the International City/County Management Association. It offers membership for college students and interns in local government, publications, certification, an annual conference, and other resources. The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration accredits degree programs in public affairs and administration. The National League of Cities is a membership organization for cities, villages, and towns.
