News Anchors

Unions and Associations

News anchors may belong to unions such as the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians - Communications Workers of America, for advocacy, education, and other resources and benefits. The National Association of Broadcasters works to preserve and ensure the right to freedom of speech. The association helps to maintain broadcasters’ ability to work in an arena free of unnecessary regulation and to keep them current on new and changing technologies. Other associations that offer various resources to news anchors and related workers include the Broadcast Education Association, National Association of Farm Broadcasters, and the Radio-Television Digital News Association.
