Ski Resort Workers

Some ski resort workers belong to unions; for example, hotel desk workers can join UNITE HERE. There are also a number of professional organizations, such as the American Hotel and Lodging Association, that ski resort workers can join. The National Ski Areas Association represents 300 alpine resorts, which account for more than 90 percent of skier/snowboarder visits in the United States. The Professional Ski Instructors of America–American Association of Snowboard Instructors offer membership, certification, publications, and other resources.
