Editorial Research Assistants

Work Environment

Many editorial research assistants work in quiet environments that are conducive to conducting work that requires tremendous concentration. Most editorial research assistants work in cubicles. The work environment at publishing companies will typically be quieter and less hectic than at newspaper or in advertising agencies. Some assistants may be able to work remotely for some or all of the time. Editorial research assistants typically work a standard 40-hour week, although they may have to work longer hours during certain phases of the research and editing process to meet deadlines.
