Heating and Cooling Technicians

Heating and cooling technicians may be represented by unions such as the United Association of Journeymen, and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada. Industry associations that provide educational programs, workshops, conferences, publications, and, in many cases, certification programs, include the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute; Air Conditioning Contractors of America; the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc., Green Mechanical Council; HVAC Excellence; North American Technician Excellence Inc.; Partnership for Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation; Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association; Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association; and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association.
