The racing suit manufacturer FervoGear reports that the U.S. motorsports market was valued at $5.11 billion in 2022. Revenue in the industry is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.9 percent from 2023 to 2028 and reach $7.47 billion by 2028. “The motorsports market continues to thrive and expand, driven by broadcast revenue, participation fees, ticket sales, sponsorship deals, and merchandising opportunities,” according to FervoGear.
While overall industry growth will be strong, it’s important to remember that it is extremely hard to become a professional race car driver. Many racing afficionados compete at the amateur and semi-professional levels while working in full-time jobs.
