The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is a membership organization that "plays a leading role in advocating for excellence in the delivery of interpretation and transliteration services between people who use sign language and people who use spoken language." It offers a wealth of career resources for aspiring and current interpreters. The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is an advocacy organization for those with hearing loss. It provides continuing education opportunities and resources for people who are deaf or who have hearing loss. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a membership organization for audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology support personnel; and students, provides good background information on hearing disorders.
