Unions and Associations
Recycling coordinators do not belong to unions. The National Recycling Coalition is a nonprofit organization of recycling coordinators and related professionals. The National Waste & Recycling Association represents companies that collect and manage garbage and recycling and medical waste. The American Forest and Paper Association is a national trade association of companies that make up more than 75 percent of U.S. pulp, paper, paper-based packaging and wood building materials. It offers information on sustainability and paper recycling on its Web site. The Recycled Materials Association offers continuing education opportunities, and visitors to its Web site can access the “This Week in Recycling” podcast.
