Work Environment
A typical day for an environmental consultant might feature several hours working at a home office as well as time spent traveling to environmental sites to conduct investigations, to meet with business executives and government officials, and to attend conferences and events. Most consultants work at least 40 hours per week during business hours (typically Mondays through Fridays), although weekend work may be required if they are traveling. Many consultants split their time between their office and the client's location.
