You can also learn more about ocean engineering by visiting Web sites such as the Sea Grant Guide to Marine Careers (https://www.marinecareers.net). The Marine Technology Society also offers competitions, internships, workshops, and institutes that allow high school students to explore careers in ocean engineering. If interested in hands-on experience, join the Technology Student Association, which provides students with a chance to explore career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, enter academic competitions, and participate in exploration programs.
