Clinic managers who worked for outpatient clinics in the U.S. earned an average salary of $99,400 in July 2024, according to Salary.com. Salaries ranged from $70,361, or less to $129,967 or more.

Medical and health services managers earned an average salary of $110,680 in May 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The lowest 10 percent earned $67,900 or less, and the highest 10 percent earned $216,750 or more. Fifty percent of medical and health services managers earned between $86,080 and $157,640.

Salaries vary depending on education, work experience, and type of employer. For example, according to the DOL, those who worked for outpatient care centers earned $129,500 annually in May 2023, while those employed by nursing and residential care facilities averaged $106,520 per year.

Clinic managers typically receive a wide range of fringe benefits, including paid vacations and holidays, sick leave, hospitalization and insurance benefits, and pension programs. Some receive performance bonuses and access to profit-sharing programs.
