Bed and Breakfast Owners

Earnings

Large, well-established bed and breakfasts can bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars every year, but most owners of average-sized inns earn much lower revenue. SimplyHired.com reported in September 2019 that the average salary for hotel owners was $49,664, and innkeepers averaged about $64,468 per year. The U.S. Department of Labor reported in May 2018 that 10 percent of all lodging managers, including bed and breakfast innkeepers, earned $30,860 or less per year. The median annual earnings for lodging managers was reported as $53,390, and 10 percent of lodging managers earned $102,410 or more per year.
