Unions and Associations
Fluid power technicians may be members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace and other unions. The International Fluid Power Society offers membership (including for students who are taking at least 12 credits in fluid power and motion control technology), certification, and continuing education opportunities to fluid power professionals. The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is a membership organization for fluid power manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and educators. The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation promotes the field of fluid power technology through scholarships and educational initiatives.
