Geriatric care managers are not members of unions. The Aging Life Care Association is the major membership organization in the field. It provides continuing education, publications, networking opportunities, and other resources. There are many other organizations and government agencies that provide useful resources to geriatric care professionals, including the American Geriatrics Society, American Society on Aging, Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education, Administration on Aging,National Academy of Certified Care Managers, National Alliance for Caregiving, National Council on Aging, and the National Institute on Aging.
