Work Environment

Methane/landfill gas generation system technicians work outdoors in all types of weather conditions. The job can be hazardous as the equipment can be large, heavy, and noisy. They must have physical stamina to be able to handle the crouching, kneeling, and bending that may be required to evaluate and repair equipment. They follow safety procedures and regulations and wear protective clothing and gear. Methane/landfill gas generation system technicians work 40 hours per work but are on call 24/7, required to report to work when emergency repairs and maintenance are needed.
