Unions and Associations
Some truck drivers may be members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and other unions. American Trucking Associations is a national trade association for the trucking industry; it consists of a federation of affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils. The Professional Truck Driver Institute certifies entry-level truck driver training courses and motor carrier driver-finishing programs.
