The U.S. Department of Labor does not provide an employment outlook for brand ambassadors, but it does report that job opportunities for the related careers of advertising, promotions, and marketing managers will increase by 6 percent from 2022 to 2032. This is faster than the average for all occupations. More companies are relying on brand ambassadors to create positive word-of-mouth buzz about their products and services. Some spend millions of dollars to hire a single celebrity to work as a brand ambassador, while others use their budgets to hire a team of lesser-known ambassadors to reach a more diverse group of customers. Opportunities will be best for those with a large social media following; expertise, skill, and creativity in the use of social media; and superior communication skills.
