Manufacturing production technicians may be members of unions such as the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers; United Steelworkers' GMP Council: Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers; and IUE-CWA.
Plastics technicians have access to educational programs, publications, conferences, and other resources through professional associations such as the American Chemistry Council, Plastics Industry Association, and SPE-Inspiring Plastics Professionals.
STEM and skilled trades organizations for teens include Technology Student Association, SkillsUSA, and Skills Compétences Canada.
