Certification, Licensing, and Special Requirements

Certification or Licensing

Voluntary certification is available from professional associations and developers of content management systems. For example, the Association for Intelligent Information Management offers the certified information professional credential to applicants who pass an exam that assesses their knowledge of the following skills: creating and capturing information, extracting intelligence from information, digitalizing information-intensive processes, automating governance and compliance, and implementing an information management solution. Visit https://www.aiim.org/education-section/cip for more information. The International Web Association, Society for Technical Communication, and the World Organization of Webmasters also offer certification programs.
