Space pilots do not belong to unions. Aspiring and current pilots of all types can join the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association, which offers a variety of membership categories, including a student membership. Student members receive access to training opportunities, networking events, and a subscription to Flight Training magazine. The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics describes itself as the “world’s largest aerospace technical society.” It offers membership categories for high school and college students and current aerospace professionals, hosts a Professional Virtual Career Fair, provides continuing education opportunities, and other resources. The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada provides resources to those who reside in Canada.
