Producers who worked for software publishers earned mean annual salaries of $104,990 in May 2019, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Salaries for all producers ranged from less than $35,480 to $173,680 or more. 

Video game producers who work full-time for video game firms usually receive benefits such as vacation days, sick leave, health and life insurance, and a savings and pension program. Self-employed producers must provide their own benefits.
