Prior to high school graduation, you could prepare for a job as a molder by applying for foundry work in the summer or on a part-time basis. This particular group is a technical association whose members are experienced foundry workers, patternmakers, technologists, and educators. Training courses are sponsored through the Cast Metals Institute and include a variety of subjects concerning the castings industry.
