The U.S. Department of Labor reported that financial managers earned a median salary of $171,200 in May 2024. Salaries ranged from $104,450 to $216,220 or more.

Tax managers who are employed full time usually receive employment benefits, including health insurance coverage, paid vacation and sick time, and pension plans. Self-employed tax managers are responsible for covering payroll, payroll taxes, and other business expenses.
