Unions and Associations
Some engineers may be represented by the American Federation of Government Employees, International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, the SPEEA, and other unions.
Logistics engineers belong to professional associations such as the Association for Supply Chain Management, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Institute for Supply Management, and SOLE-The International Society of Logistics. These organizations provide educational programs, certification, networking events, publications, and other resources that are useful to logistics professionals. Other associations that offer helpful information and resources for logistics engineers include MHI and WERC. Women in Logistics is a membership organization for women and men. It offers mentorship and scholarship programs.
