High School

Aspiring mobility managers should take classes in business management, mathematics, computer science, health, psychology, English, speech, writing, and foreign language.

Postsecondary Education

Mobility managers have a wide range of educational backgrounds, but many have degrees in transportation planning, urban planning, public administration, social services, disability and human development, or business. Most employers require a bachelor’s degree, although some may prefer to hire those with master’s degrees.

Certification

Many colleges and universities offer certificate programs in urban planning, transportation planning, business, public administration, disability and human development, and social services. Certificate programs typically last six months to a year and are available in online, in-person, and hybrid formats. Contact schools in your area for information about available programs.
