Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designers

Work Environment

PCB designers work in climate-controlled offices or laboratories. They may travel to the offices of clients to discuss project designs and revisions. PCB designers work a standard 40-hour week, but overtime is sometimes required to meet project deadlines. A typical workday for a designer consists of periods where they work independently (creating and revising designs), as well as collaborate with other designers, engineers, and technicians and clients.
