Network Operations Center Technicians

Overview

A network operations center (NOC) is a centralized location where a company’s network, databases, firewalls, and other information technology (IT) infrastructure is located. Network operations center technicians administer, monitor, repair, and maintain networks (e.g., routers, servers, switches) and other infrastructure to ensure that it’s functioning as designed and that systems are protected from cyberattacks. If they detect an issue, they assess the situation and respond accordingly so that normal service is maintained or re-established.
