Overview

Health informaticists use information technology—including advanced artificial intelligence (AI)—to collect, organize, and analyze health-related data. This data is used to improve patient health outcomes, assess and track health and disease trends, improve hospital quality, and meet other goals. Health informaticists are also known as health informatics specialists.
