Renewable Energy Site Assessors

Outlook

Demand for renewable energy has increased in the past few decades due to growing concerns about damage caused to the environment by the burning of fossil fuels, rising costs for fossil fuels, decreasing manufacturing costs and expanding capacity for renewable energy, and falling prices for energy storage devices. The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) report, International Energy Outlook 2023, projects that the share of U.S. power generation from renewables will grow by 30 to 76 percent from 2022 to 2050. The report says that “for all cases, we project that 81 percent to 95 percent of the new electric-generating capacity installed from 2022 to 2050 to meet new demand will be zero-carbon technologies.” Site assessors with considerable experience who stay up-to-date with the latest renewable technology will have the best job prospects.
