Critical Care Nurses

Some critical care nurses are represented by National Nurses United; the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees; and other national and local unions. The American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the largest specialty nursing organization in the world, provides continuing education, certification, networking opportunities, and job-search resources. The Society of Critical Care Medicine represents all members of the critical care team, including advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, pharmacologists, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, scientists, and physicians, as well as health care students. It has members in more than 80 countries.
