The American Bar Association is the leading organization for judges and lawyers. It provides career resources, publications, and continuing education opportunities, as well as accredits law schools. Many judges also join the American Judges Association, Federal Bar Association, National Association of Women Judges, National Association of Women Lawyers, and countless other specialized legal associations at the national, state, and local levels. The Law School Admission Council is a nonprofit organization that offers detailed information on the Law School Admission Test and choosing and paying for law school. The National Judicial College is a leading provider of education for judges. Other important organizations include the Association of American Law Schools, Federal Judicial Center, National Association for Law Placement, and the National Center for State Courts.
