Space habitat designers are employed by NASA (in its Human Health and Performance Directorate, https://www.nasa.gov/hhp) and other government-sponsored space agencies. Major private aerospace companies include Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic, SpaceX, and Boeing. Some companies specialize in developing space habitats. For example, Axiom Space is constructing the world's first commercial space station.
