Teachers and other education professionals often join unions such as the American Federation of Teachers and National Education Association. Edupreneurs and traditional education professionals can join professional associations, which provide networking events, training opportunities, and publications. One such organization is the ASCD, which offers membership categories for college students and professionals; publishes Educational Leadership, five newsletters, and a blog; offers members-only webinars; and hosts an annual conference. Another useful organization is Learning Forward, which offers membership, continuing education opportunities, and other resources. Edupreneurs describes itself as a “global network of entrepreneurs using education as a vehicle for change.” It offers membership, networking opportunities, and other resources. Other noteworthy organizations include the Instructional Technology Council and Quality Matters Instructional Designers Association.
