Freight forwarders are among the best sources of information and assistance on U.S. export regulations and documentation, shipping methods, and foreign import regulations. In addition, to familiarize yourself with the field, pay attention to news reports on the U.S. trade balance, trade policies, and export and import levels of major goods, such as automobiles.
