Industrial Safety and Health Technicians

Outlook

Employment for industrial safety and health technicians is expected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations through 2028, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Growth will be driven by the general public's demand for healthy and safe work environments. Safety professionals will also be needed to replace those who retire or leave jobs for other opportunities. Many health and safety professionals work for federal, state, and local governments. More technicians will also be needed to help address technological advances in safety equipment and threats, and changing regulations.
