Space port managers are employed by NASA and other government-funded space agencies, local and state government agencies that operate space ports, and private space companies such as SpaceX.
Starting Out
Aspiring space port managers need at least seven years of experience in lower-level managerial positions (ideally in the aerospace industry) before becoming eligible for space port management positions.
Current and aspiring space port managers can learn about job openings via internal job boards at their company or agency, by attending industry events, and by accessing job listings on the Web sites of their target employers.
