Client Services Managers

Work Environment

Client services managers are part of the corporate team and typically work in offices. A great deal of their work is done sitting at computers and on the phone. In some situations they may travel to various locations to recruit or train employees.

A variety of businesses and industries, large and small, employ client services managers, and the position exists in companies around the world. Greater opportunities may exist in larger cities where more businesses exist.

Client services managers generally are salaried employees who work a normal 35– to 40–hour work week. They may work overtime when projects are due or there are problems that need their attention.

Many client services managers love their careers. A 2024 survey of CSMs by PayScale.com found that 76 percent of respondents were "highly satisfied" with their jobs.
