Compliance Managers

Work Environment

Compliance managers work in the offices of companies and other organizations. These offices may be located in the human resources, legal services, or financial department. They spend much of their day on computers, reviewing information, studying data, creating reports, and sending and receiving e-mails. Managers work closely with compliance analysts and other professionals, meeting frequently to discuss compliance issues and solutions. The work can be stressful at times, especially when project deadlines are tight. The company's top executives and board members may be difficult at times and compliance managers must communicate compliance issues clearly and diplomatically. The company's reputation rests on its integrity and adherence to federal and industry standards. The pressure is on compliance managers to help the company uphold these standards.
