Genetic Engineers

Some engineers may be represented by the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (http://www.ifpte.org), American Federation of Government Employees (https://www.afge.org), and other unions. Organizations for genetic science professionals include the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, American Society of Human Genetics, Biotechnology Innovation Organization, Biotechnology Institute, Genetics Society of America, and the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-Biotech Applications. The National Human Genome Research Institute and other government agencies conduct research in genetic science.
