Artificial Intelligence Specialists

Job opportunities for AI specialists are very strong, and will continue to be so during the next decade. Each year, LinkedIn spotlights the careers that have emerged recently and that are experiencing “tremendous growth.” Its 2024 Emerging Jobs Report identified 25 fast-growing careers. Artificial intelligence consultant was ranked number eight on the list. Another related profession that ranked high on the list is artificial intelligence engineer, coming in at number 10. The report mentioned that many of these jobs are in San Francisco, Boston, New York City, and Washington, D.C.-Baltimore.

The Department of Labor predicts much faster than average employment growth, 23 percent, for computer and information research scientists through 2032. These professionals, which includes AI specialists, will be in high demand due to the continued growth in data collection by businesses. Specialists will be needed to write algorithms to help businesses understand the large data amounts. They will also be needed to make software more efficient by creating new programming languages.
