Billing Clerks

The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that employment for billing clerks will increase as fast as the average for all careers through 2028. Although technological advancements—computers, electronic billing, and automated payment methods—will streamline operations, the increasing number of financial transactions will create reasonably good employment opportunities for billing clerks. Many job openings will result from the need to replace workers who have left for different jobs or other reasons. The health care, banking, and insurance sectors will remain large employers in this field, and job prospects in these industries will be especially strong.
