Dental Laboratory Technicians

Earnings

Dental laboratory trainees earn slightly more than minimum wage. As technicians gain experience, however, their salaries increase. The U.S. Department of Labor reported that in May 2018, the median yearly income for dental laboratory technicians was $40,440. The lowest 10 percent earned $25,320 or less, while the highest 10 percent earned more than $64,180. Self-employed technicians and those who work in smaller laboratories and perform a variety of work are likely to exceed the average earnings.
