Dental Therapists

There are no unions for dental therapists, but they can join national associations such as the American Dental Therapy Association (ADTA) and state-level organizations such as the Minnesota Dental Therapy Association. The ADTA offers complimentary membership to students who are actively enrolled in a dental therapy program/school in the United States, as well as current practitioners. It also offers an annual conference and provides a list of dental therapy programs on its Web site. The American Dental Association is the leading organization for dental professionals in the United States. It offers information on education and careers. The American Association of Public Health Dentistry offers a variety of resources for dental professionals who provide services to underserved communities.
