The American College of Surgeons is a membership organization for surgeons who have met high standards of practice. The American Head and Neck Society conducts research about head and neck oncology. The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery provides certification to ENT specialists. The American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association are the largest membership organizations in the United States for physicians. They provide a wealth of resources for those who are interested in careers in medicine.
