Cloud/network engineers earned salaries that ranged from $106,500 to $149,500, according to Robert Half Technology’s 2024 Salary Guide: Technology Salaries and Hiring Trends. They earned an average salary of $127,750. Highly experienced and skilled cloud engineers can make more than $200,000 a year. Possessing expertise in cloud computing can also translate into higher earnings. Fifty-one percent of managers who were surveyed by Robert Half for its 2024 Salary Guide said that they would increase salaries for applicants with cloud-related skills.

Cloud engineers receive benefits such as paid vacation and sick days, health and life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and access to a savings and pension program. Some receive bonuses, financial assistance for professional development classes and webinars, and access to profit-sharing programs and other non-salary–related financial awards.
